Objectives

This course will enable the candidate to gain complete knowledge of Orthopaedic instrumentation and enable him to assist efficiently in all kinds of Orthopaedic surgeries including Arthroscopy and Joint replacement.

  • Assist in Orthopaedic surgeries – Total Knee Replacement, Total Hip Replacement,Knee Arthroscopy, Complex Trauma
  • Setup Laparoscopic instrument trolley independently
  • Learn to install and check various energy sources like Harmonic, Bipolar, Ensealetc
  • Learn about Operation theatre NABH protocols
  • Presentation and manipulation of various equipments, design, principle, ergonomics, and sterilization methods.
  • Theory and “Hands On” practical demonstration on pelvic trainer
  •  
  • Presentations and video projections
    • Introduction to Orthopaedic surgery: history of Orthopaedics
    • Basic principles, cleaning, sterilization protocols
    • The operating theater, preparing patients.
    • Orthopedic surgery equipment: description, cleaning and way of use, handling insufflator, cold light source, camera, monitors, irrigation/suction device, electro sugary

The candidate will be awarded a certificate in Orthopaedics Operation theatre Course from BIMAST after the course.

After the completion of the course candidate will have ample opportunities for getting a job in any hospital which has a Orthopaedic department.
